The team in the family law unit continues to provide legal services in the areas of family law including separation, divorce and on a wide range of children’s matters, including parental responsibility and contact, and paternity issues.
Matters have increased in complexity and intersect with many issues; most commonly family violence, criminal law and child protection.
Legal services provided by the unit include the provision of legal advice, assistance with the completion of forms, corresponding with parties, negotiating and liaison with all.
The Family Court of WA has now moved to a digital platform and require in the large majority of matters for them to be lodged and filed on the E- Courts Portal.
