Free movie screening and lunch to acknowledge National Reconciliation Week
About this event
National Reconciliation Week runs from 27 May to 3 June and is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
Enjoy the screening of In My Blood It Runs, an observational documentary from the perspective of a 10-year-old Aboriginal boy in Mparntwe (Alice Springs), Australia, who is faced with the challenge of balancing his identity as a First Nation's child with state education.
After the screening, engage in cultural talks with local elders and enjoy a light lunch provided by the City of Belmont.
When booking tickets, community members are able to book in for both the movie screening and cultural talks or just the element that interests them.
