Using the Handbook
While every effort has been made to ensure the information in this Handbook is as up-to-date and as accurate as possible, the law is complex and constantly changing and readers are advised to seek specific advice when faced with a particular legal problem. The WA Law Handbook is intended as a general guide to the law in WA and should not be used as substitute for legal advice. The authors and the publishers are not liable to users for this book for any loss or damage however caused resulting from its use.

Contents
This book is divided into 39 Chapters, each one covering a particular aspect of the law. The book has been expanded to include an extra fifteen chapters in light of the significant legal and policy development in WA since the last edition. A brief abstract at the beginning of each chapter provides an outline of its contents, as does the more detailed list of contents found immediately following the abstract. Sometimes, material will also be cross-reference to other chapters in the book.

Contact Points and Other Useful Resources
At the end of each chapter you will find the contact details of organisations and agencies relevant to the topic of law discussed in that chapter.

Cases (Legal Decisions)
The 5th edition of The WA Law Handbook has been expanded to refer where possible to leading judicial decisions on particularly significant or controversial points of law. Brief case summaries are found either in the text itself or in boxes separate from the main text.

The following chapters includes the abstract giving an overview of the chapters content as well as a detailed list of the contents of the chapter. For enquiries about purchasing the book or to place an order on line follow the links.
